ford vs chevy

this is to prove that ford's 4.6L D.O.H.C. is better than old school chevy pushrod 2 valve engines.in this video the cobra has 305hp and the bigger 5.7L ss camaro only has 320hp.and the ss camaro is 1.1L's bigger.you know if the cobra was lets say a 351 5.8L D.O.H.C. 32 valve,it would have at least 400hp.chevy knows better than to go Liter for liter,bore for bore,stroke for stroke.if they were the EXACT same size engine but the ford had D.O.H.C.,There would be no contest.just remember chevy needs bigger engines to beat the small 4.6L D.O.H.C.,chevy wont beat a ford with the same size engine.just a fact.chevy doesnt even have a 5.0 stock with 412hp like the new gt's do.sorry...

@dkill429 small ford DOHC engines?? Those things are freaking HUGE!! While the 7.0L LS7 weighs 440 lbs, the 5.0 weighs just a little less despite being 2 whole liters "smaller". It weighs the same if not more than the 6.2 LS3. When it comes to PHYSICAL size, Ford engines are bigger. The LSx engines are quite small. Displacement is only the bore x stroke. Google this and you will find this all to be true.

@peak199 NOONE makes pushrod 4 bangers anymore.cause they make shitty HP.when little cars started coming out with DOHC 4 bangers,it changed the standard for hp in 4 cylinder engines.and when they started using DOHC on v8's,they found out that DOHC makes lots more hp per liter than old school pushrod.nascar made ford get rid of the 427 SOHC because it made too much hp for chevy too keep up.THATS A COLD HARD FACT.look it up.chevy needs big engines to hang with small ford DOHC engines.FACT! lol

@peak199 Just a little fact for you,The record for the fastest mile is held by the ford gt.it beats the veyron,all vettes,all supras,lambos everything.mustang cleans house at NOPI EVERY year also.sounds like someone didnt do their homework.sounds like you live up in the mountains.Ford also holds the record for most cars sold in a 6 month period.no car company even comes close.over 660,000 cars sold in just 6 months.bottom line,ford dohc engines make more hp per liter than old school pushrod.
