when i play the game it goes 700%!!! its toooo fast

i download the nogba emulator, extracted the files n everything. but everytime i go to top the emulator it just open's up a file? says open catridge. i'v tried clicking on pokemon fire-red which was originaly for VBA. but then it says file or catridge not found. help please i dont understand, how to i just get the emulator to open like you have.

Okay, here's my problem, I run the NO$GBA perfectly many times before with the true proper settings in order to play the games, the game speed I would run it at is unlimited MHz disaster 10%, which in game would be 300-400% speed, and recently same start up, same speed, but this time its running at 40-60% speed any solutions?

@BringMeToLife715 go to settings then emulation setup, on the box were it says NDS cartridge backup media change it to FRAM 32KBites

Okay so whenever I try to play a game on the no$gba thing, it says "the save data could not be accessed. please turn off the power and reinsert the DS card." For like, EVERY game I try! Any ideas how to fix that?
