even though it's not confirmed yet, I truely believe that Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegar's son (and yes Rhaegar and Lyanna are my fav ship of the series).

@ilmast and if Rhaeger is Jon's dad, that means Ned was always faithful as well. I mean, we know Ned is so good and pure of heart, but this confirmation would make him even more so.

I hope that GRRM doesnt deviate from this well accepted theory in the final books. I read something once which said along the lines of he knows there are expectations and he doesnt want to let the fans down by going the way of 'Lost' and nothing is what we expected but at the same time he doesnt want us to have it figured out. But all the characters bar Robert mention that Rhaegar was a good man, I hope GRRM sticks with this.

@ilmast by all accounts Rhaegar was a good guy. I don't know how much of the books you've read and I don't want to put any spoilers here, but after I've read all published pages twice, I believe he was, and he would've healed the kingdom. RIP, Rhaegar Targaryen.
