I am 25, I spent the earlier part of my childhood listening to John Denver. My parents played him a lot and I honestly enjoyed his music a lot. My mother and I cried the day he died (I think I was 10 or 11) I wish more people appreciated his music and didn't just see him as "another country singer.)

@zipcounty, I understand what you mean.. I am a huge fan of music from the 40s-90s aswel. But remember. Back in the days, there also was a lot of shit on the radio, just like now.. But nowadays we have a lot more variation too ;)

@Roach19691 I always wanted to be like Jacques Cousteau and be an Oceanographer, back then we had him and the wild kingdom on tv. No vhs, no pc's, it was a great time to be alive. I wish I had never gone to see Jaws, I might have lived my dream.

Honestly I love this song. I am 14 and John Denver is one of my favorite singers. I just can't stand the rap and auto tuned crap of nowadays. All my favorite bands/ singers are from the 40s-90s. Because that was the time music was actually good.

i still get goosebumps from the starting music......such a beautifull song......many memories from the days back then......bummer life is going so fast......but with this song im that little boy again......[sigh and enjoying the song]
