This match is going to be in six parts with sets no 2 and 3 in full and set 4 more or less full. This was Sampras at his amazing best and its your duty to pass this match on to as many as possible :-)

By the way, what makes this performance even more incredible is how tough, determined and good Rafter played - certainly not a case of a playing rolling over making the other look good.

When Sampras was at his best he was unplayable.

I could also take any other Petes top form match outside my top 10 and it would still be better than anybodys top 10 match - like vs Kafelnikov 97 Masters, Agassi and Rafter 99 Cincy, Agassi 99 LA, Agassi 01 USO, Safin 00 Masters, Rafter 01 USO, 95 DC final performance.....There are MANY.-))))))))))))))))))))))

@cammpinno On my personal Sampras list this match was #1, and the P'sis on from same weekend was #4 (3/5 set matches). What's ironic is I can take 10 matches that would not make my top 10 Pete list, but could probably go up against anybody's top 10 (3/5 set matches).

YEAH, also on his website this match was ranked NO 1 in the category - Petes Best Form Matches.

The second comes match vs Santoto in 97 RG, then vs. Philippoussis in the same DC tie, vs Agassi San Jose 96, vs Clavet in 97 RG, vs. Rafter 97 Philadelphia, Agassi 99 Wim, Safin 01 USO .... I would love to see many of those:-))
