i thought this movie was a little gross and dramatic... its very different from our movies in the US. its plot is still pretty interesting though.

@MissExecutive no im not kidding if you read the book it gives you a sense of suspense and it doesn't even tell you about Tita's dad until about the end of the book. The movie kills all the suspense that the movie could give by revealing the unknown in the beginning and in my eyes this movie is a disgrace to the Book Like Water For Chocolate. "MissExecutive" for your information we can have our own opinion and if you cant deal with it then SUCK IT!!

@bubznumber1 Tita never had a baby, it was just negative discharge her body was holing in. The fire came from Tita's matches (aka her soul) being lit all at once.
