Just got a Flycam 6000 Gimbal and post and needed to clean out the pan bearing of all the grease and replace with Teflon oil. Seems to spin pretty good now. If you are experiencing a very slow pan bearing on your Flycam stabilizer, whether it be the 6000 or 5000,3000,2000,Nano,5500 or Ultralite, i highly recommend that you clean out the grease and replace with Teflon oil. Doesn't take long and you will be very glad you did it.
By the way, the sled consists of the Flycam 6000 gimbal,a Manfrotto 681b monopod ODU 8 pin internal wiring and a self made bottom stage. Thanks for watching.
Also there is no topstage or camera on the sled at this time. And sorry for the quality of the video. I used a little HD pocket cam.
Peace!!!

  • Wow, that is some awesome spinning action. I saw another video testing the pan bearing of this stabilizer and hot damn this teflon oil you put in makes a difference.

This certainly is the buying point of the stabilizer. Did you have to open the bearing up? If so then was it difficult? By the way how sturdy is the stabilizer? Is it possible to put a heavy weight camera on the rig? Or would it warp the metal and screw the bearings up? Thanks a heap.
