@Martijn9860 True - there were constructing robots for years - but they would most likely be shipped off to wherever they're needed. So the number of robots on site would probably be really low. The humans aren't supposed to get so close that they would need a sizable force to defend the factory. It's like playing Risk - you put all your pieces on the borders, and then you lose a battle and all of your interior is wide open. But I agree in general, there were some BIG plot holes.
