Fox News has reason to rejoice as President Obama marks the media-manufactured milestone of his first 100 days in office. The conservative cable network's ratings are sky high under the new Democratic president. Yes, it looks like it couldn't be happier serving as "the voice of [Obama's] opposition," to paraphrase Fox News senior vice president Bill Shine. I really don't understand why so many Americans are afraid of the government funding things like health care and so on.
A government's duty is to take care of the people living in their country Taxes should be used for that instead of funding an oversized army, and the taxes should be higher.
It's more important to make sure everyone can get health care when they get sick, than it is to make sure that everyone can be as rich as possible.
Umm, they're actually polar opposites - Fascism is the extreme right wing (Institutionalised inequality) and communism (a TOTALLY different thing from socialism, which is just where the government offers public services paid for with taxes) is the extreme left wing (Institutionalised overequality). Fascism also has racist overtones communism does not.
Unfortunately the propaganda war of the Cold War Era has left the US horribly misinformed about socialism.
There are differences, but they are minuscule in comparison to capitalism. Fascism is not necessarily racist. The Nazis in Germany were, but Mussolini in Italy was not. Socialism is not always equality. You have an elite ruling class (the government) which lives in relative comfort compared to the masses. Just look at the USSR. By definition, the Soviets were socialist. Fascism is not extreme right, it is extreme left. It is collectivism - the state is more important than the individual.
Again, you're confusing socialism and communism - this is a logical fallacy. You see, socialism and capitalism can co-exist - neither in it's purest forms, but both those things end up sucky in their purest forms. Socialism is simply the offering of public-funded services as an alternative to private-run ones. It compliments capitalism and democracy brilliantly, as it does here in the UK. And no, communism is not always equality, that's why it fails and should be rejected.
According to Webster's Dictionary, socialism is "any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods". Russian communism fits this definition, as the government owned and ran everything. Fascism fits this definition too, with the exception of private property, but since it is controlled by the government, it doesn't make a difference.
What you call "socialism" is more correctly referred to as statism, "concentration of economic controls and planning in the hands of a highly centralized government."
Sad thing is that, everything they are saying is true :(
And for you liberals that are using this to show that Fox News is biased --> all of these people are Republicans who either have programs or are guests on Fox News

COMMUNISM, however, does suck.
