For anyone who wants to learn how to tune to DADF~Be, here's what you do.
Tune the guitar perfectly to standard E tuning. Then, take the bottom E string (the thickest) and tune it by ear to the 7th fret so it matches the A string (play the 7th Fret E string, and tune down to it matches the open A).
Next, tune your G down half a step by playing the 4th fret on the G so it matches the open B string.
And there you do! You now have DADF#Be tuning!

@esudkd Actually figured it out with my friend yesterday. His acoustic Spanish has a much clearer sound and a built-in tuner. He actually got the DADFisBe spot on in just a few seconds. We figured out the song, although we play with other chords and a picking leap in between the chords. I'm so proud of us :D
So yeah, my own guitar is just too busted up. l'll try it on my western guitar though, and try tuning by ear. Thanks!

I guess you must be going in the wrong direction.... From normal EADGBE you tune the bottom string DOWN and the G string DOWN also, so there's less tension in the strings than normal. If that's what you've been trying and they're still breaking then I'd recommend bringing your guitar to a shop as asking them. It might be that the machine heads or bridge has something wrong.
