This is the thing with niqab, it depends where your wearing it. E.g. in a school, uni, hospital: it's completely ABSURD to think it is acceptable because it isn't. No one knows who you are and in those places it can cause confusion. I remember reading something about a robbery and when the 2 female veiled suspects were taken to the Police station and their clothes were taken away it turned out to be 2 caucasian males!!! In WESTERN societies it causes problems but in an islamic state it's fine!

Astaghfurullah!! That girl who is uncovered simply needs to understand she was mixing with the wrong people!!! she should do everything in the name of Allah & I'm pretty sure that those nude drawings are not something Allah would be pleased with. Aside from that i value her opinions although i think if she were to read the Qur'an and sunnah etc. WITHOUT a biased view she would have a different outlook on life and upon herself.

How come no one talks about the Christian Nuns that cover up themselves for God, and they always keep on talking and talking about Muslim women who cover up also for God :)
That shows how people lack knowledge and never had the opportunity to read about other religions and know the reasons behind their veil! Which is also found in Chrisianity and Judiaism!!

well, I'm a Muslim girl, an Arab and I wear the veil too.. but it didn't stop me from anything.
I always studied in an American school and I graduated from an American university. I majored in graphic design and now I'm chosen to international graphic designer meetings and I'm still proud of my veil because its the symbol of Islam and what protects a woman. Yes there might be girls who wear it to hide themselves as she mentioned.. but she didnt mention that they wear it for GOD! :)

'' A girl must remain a virgin until marriage." Not just women, men also. God expects the same modesty from men... I don't know what Egyptian society does...

It's your choice not to partake in religion, but at least you can try to be respectful of other peoples choices.

Why are you getting so defensive, no one is forcing anything on you. Its fine to give your opinions, all I said was try to be respectful, and if you cant, your doing exactly what you are discribing others to be doing.
