This is a high-speed video capture of my larynx using the new Kay-Pentax high speed videolaryngoscopy system. It captures the images at 2000 frames per second, allowing you to see individual cycles of vocal fold vibration. The video captures the completion of one phonation (on an "EEEE" sound), followed by the onset of a second. You can see that air starts to come through the vocal cords before the vibration begins. This is what I do all day.
Sound please
