Dame Elizabeth Taylor came from a world of glitz, glamour, politics, and privilege and jumped head on into the world of HIV/AIDS...tackling the most difficult and most deadly disease of its kind. She did this without batting an eye. She did this as the felt that she had a personal responsibility to the world for giving her such fame and fortune. In the true sense of the definition of karma, she went about raising a half a billion dollars covering medical expenses for those with AIDS, as well as, housing, social events, peer support, psychological assistance, medication, and scientific research and was funding anything and everything to end this plague. Soon, Sir Elton John, Madonna, Bill and Melinda Gates (Microsoft), Oprah Winfrey, Sharon Stone, Michael Jackson and many too many to list followed suit. So now, we can stand on a mountain top, which is indicated in this beautiful song and look out into our feel proud to be together. To feel unity. We have a long way to go. We are not all there yet. But soon, and forever. Please donate if you can.

  • Legendary two time Oscar Winner Elisabeth Taylor has died. She is also known for her huge contribution to activism in raising millions of dollars for Aids research in finding a cure and helping those who were afflicted at the time when not enough was being done. She was one of the first in Hollywood to champion this cause which is something she should be admired for because of her strength and determination, she changed minds in the political world to help further fund research for Aids. RIP!

  • I find her achievements as an actress (as HUGE as they are!!) to come second compared to the her Passion and Detication in her humanitarian efforts to bring awareness and help to those with AIDS and HIV. THAT ALONE, to me is lengend. I admired her SO MUCH! I am so so sad today.

  • All of that beauty she used for one of the ugliest moments in our history. She had more power than the DEAD Ronald Reagan... there is no replacement for her conviction and determination to love... and love some more...
