i would,t use a katana becuase it sounds like a good weapon but you would have to be an expert to use it and it's also expensive i would use something a little more realistic like a crowbar or a machete(it's cheaper and just as good)

Here's a really good tip: Guns and katanas are not logical weapons for longterm zombie warfare!

@megakillerx Thanks for the comment, but I disagree with your basic premise. Both guns and swords are excellent tools for defense in properly trained hands. Every gun I own I can take apart and rebuild with spare parts. I have enough ammo to last for years, and I know how every bit works. A sword is also useful if you can use it effectively - they have been the go-to personal weapon of choice for thousands of years. Feel free to share your zompoc survival tips. I'm sincerely curious. Thx.

Actually - if you use a katana for anything else then cutting it'll break - the blad is too thin.

European Medieval swords are superior here because they where ment to crush bones, not to cut through skin.

zombies are getting faster and smarter by the minute, or so scientists say... i don't think anyone would be able to survive against a 'modern zombie'. would rather just shoot myself.

I would stock all my supplies on the second story of a building and destroy the stairs (hopefully they decayed or something) with a sledgehammer. Also, can zombies climb ladders? They can't in the walking dead. Does electricity kill them? Maybe I can electrocute a metal fence.
