you know its not one or the other. you can like both the simpsons and the ricky gervais show. of course i talk of the old ones, the new ones dont deserve the name the simpsons but hey.......

@JJJMMM1 Well I've seen some of the earlier seasons and they are better then the new ones but I still get more enjoyment out of Karl Pilkington than I do Homer Simpson. My first comment was a little harsh on the Simpsons admittedly.

You're 19, so I don't expect you to know what the Simpsons was 20 to 10 years ago. It was a totally different show back then. In my opinion, the older Simpsons episodes are the best television ever made - and I'm not alone with my opinion.

I'd include season 9. Also, there are miscellaneous episodes on some later seasons that are good. The newer ones are just bad.

@JaneEva They think that Karl is interesting and funny because of his unique perspective on things. When somebody has a particularly unique perspective on something, it can be humorous.

simpsons up to about season 8 is hilarious and super witty. Can't deny that. New simpsons with different writers... so lame.

In what way is the Simpsons better? The Ricky GErvais show is funny, the simpsons is just a few bright colours.
