Mortier organ #1007 - once well-known through Decca and Philips records - plays a selection from Walter Kollo's "Der Juxbaron" in an arrangement by August Schollaert. From an old EP, so my apologies for the sound quality.

  • @accordionlillo Thanks, Lillo!

  • How many keys is this organ,Bjorn?,sounds like a classic organ from the 1920's with a later accordion added,i'm guessing 101 keys?

  • @petermackett37 Indeed, 101 keys. It was built in 1927, the accordion was indeed added later, if I'm correct.

  • Excellent! Hope this books still with the organ!

  • @perleeman Fortunately it does! It's still awaiting restoration in the workshop of a well-known organ builder. It even has many of the old Schollaert books with it!

  • A very nice Scholleart arrangement here. Does the Mortier organ still exist? Thanks!
