Don't worry! I ended up laughing hysterically right after this clip LOL

So yes, this is my reaction to the earthquake as it was occurring.
Not as entertaining as I thought it would be.

As you can see, I look terrified! Luckily no one was hurt, and nothing fell or was broken so all is well that ends well. My camera has a stabilizing mechanism built into it so it balances itself for minor shakes but when the earthquake got going the box it was on started shaking.

This house is literally 10 minutes from DC and 15 from VA.
Earthquakes raaaaarely happen in this area. I think this is the second one in my life. Otherwise the other ones were very tiny or I might have been asleep lol
If you felt the earthquake that day I hope you are doing well!

Next weather obstacle? Hurricane Irene is coming to visit on my birthday!! Woooohooo -____-

  • We felt it here in NC, the walls at work started shaking!

  • omg thats really bad :/

  • I will never forget that day at 1:55 pm. I was in Baltimore when it happened on a top floor of the building I work in. Very scarey indeed. I know Cali people laughed at us, but it's not like we have earthquakes ever and for most people, it was our first one.

  • i live in california so i experience earthquakes all the time. 5.9 is nothing to me. i experience a 7.9 earthquake back in '89 when i was only 7.
