  • Dammm FINE stuff !! This version is the most musical of all. Perfect balance, etc.,,

Too bloody short though! (Only 2 min. at this pace. Love this tempo just the same.)

  • Doyle Lawson joined in 72 and Bill Emerson left in 73. That's about as far as I can narrow it down.

  • Love the lady to the left of Charlie. That's some big hair. Is this circa 1970?

  • @bigmrclean I think Jimmy was just a bit cooler. Not afraid to leave holes in his solos. I think the Gaudreau era recording of These Men of God has 1 of the coolest mandolin rides ever recorded

  • @jbash1970 Doyle is probably still the best mandolin player out there. He is awesome.

  • Doyle sure could make that mandolin ring and Charlie was great on the guitar.

  • All I can say is the Gentlemen were great!

  • THAT'S BLUEGRASS! Little in any music comes close to this showcase of dedication to a genre and respect for its fans!

  • Some great stuff.

  • This is what Bluegrass festivals are all about! You could never stand around and watch the Stones or Aerosmith this close!
