After a decade of misdirection, Slash slammed rock and roll back on course in the early '80s. And he did it with an arsenal of Gibson Les Pauls. In doing so, he became part of an exclusive club -- the Les Paul Club. Hear him talk about this elite group, and the reasons why when you envision Slash, you also see a Gibson Les Paul - they were simply made for each other.

  • @oilpit i mean that is metal but lot of people think the metal is that what metallica plays.Truly metallica plays heavy metal and metal is the same what is hard rock.

  • @ogjhlfbvb I have read this 12 times, 4 times I actually read it out loud so I could hear it with my own ears and still I cannot make ANY sense out of it.

  • @oilpit you wrong!

metallica is heavy metal & hard rock = metal

  • good of slash 2 mention gary moore he was one of the best les paul players there was along with clapton and page gibsons kick fenders ass the proof is hendrix in his last months started to play gibsons a lot more often then the fenders watch him on the dick cavett show he plays a gibson on that

  • @danachonda no those are just the customs

  • I always thought that Slash's 2 biggest influences were Gary moore and Jimmy Page

  • @MeanGreenMovies He didn't ask them to change it to SG, he just asked them to take his name off of it, THEN they put the SG label on it.

  • @MeanGreenMovies Thanx, always wondered what that meant, ya learn something new every day!

  • @Viper316001 And I believe they had 3 humbuckers too, and the trapisoid design on the headstock like a Custom Les Paul has.

  • @Keni224 by the sword from slash's solo record
