@nbenmargi Yeah this video has 30 000 views and how many views does Lady Gaga, Justin B***** have? Our curiosity for our own world and considerable intellectual issues has been destroyed again and again by consistent fallacies brought about by advertising, consumerism and the mass media portrayal of thereof.

@majestic93 And that same trait from Greeks, is what led Western civilization to the discovery of physics and the improvement of technology and science. Religion has slowed us down a little but the kind of government system that the greeks started has prooved itself to be the best start. Don't worry too much about it. People are slowly waking up and opening their eyes. We need to show this to all the people, specially kids. Get them exposed to some light in the darkness.

@monokhem Dude I think the guy conducted the interview really well! A lot better than those people in Fox who think they know it all. This guy is humble and is asking the right questions. The socialist question I don't think it was a bad question. It was audacious and maybe the way he approached it was not the best way, but he probably was personally curious and it was an interesting question. There is really no question that Carl Sagan couldn't answer coming out on top and this guy knows it. :)

@nbenmargi it's not that it recieves very little attention it's just that it's hard to find and people usually do not go out looking for it them selves

This was born before I born and nothing has changed? Damn it. Guess I shouldn't be surprised, though. "God bless America," I guess.

@monokhem Yeah, I do. Not only because I'm smarter than this Ted guy, but also because I have no agenda that would cause me to interrupt or change the subject when Carl Sagan is talking (see part 3 when he asks Sagan if he's a "socialist" and then quickly brings up time travel).
"the amount of real intellectual content that appears on the mass media is very little."
This is mirrored on YouTube, where interesting and thought provoking material like this receives very little attention.

Because its led to the 900+ man-made religions that have torn apart our species, and has never even offered evidence.
Imagine if the dark ages never happened. We could have been exploring the galaxy right now.
