Rev. Jim Jones correcting son (Stephan) for disputing him over another young man's work perfomance. Stephan is also complaining about having to work fulltime and clean weapons. This was a meeting in JT over work performances and agricultural affairs.

  • For starters, Jones was only a preacher in name. Well before he went to Guyana, he was ranting about the glories of communism and how God does not exist. There's video of him stamping up and down on a Bible and then declaring "I....AM.....GOD." Stephan Jones has slammed his father in numerous post-massacre interviews...which marks him out as a supreme hypocrite, as he can be heard on numerous Jonestown tapes backing his father's insanity to the hilt and even assaulting other followers.

  • How can a preacher constantly say "Goddamn" about so many things? As a member of the church that might have tipped me off that this man does not practice what he preached.

  • In some of the tapes Stephan is heard beating PT members.

  • Yes I'll listen

  • I think its informative. What's the number of the tape that you're gonna upload?

  • What FBI tape is this?

  • I believe Stephen Jones is talking about Charlie and Mike Touchette. All three survived in Georgetown.

Michelle Touchette did not survive and neither did Al Touchette who was among one of the airstrip shooters. Mickey Touchette was one of the so-called Gang of Eight defectors in California in 1973 and was active in Concerned Relatives at the time of this recording. Joyce Touchette the mother was also a deeply committed Temple member who took care of Mr. Muggs, the pet ape in Jonestown.
