All true...but the gentle giant was not so gentle when you took liberties with someone - then he was a mean sob. He'd rag doll you face first onto the ice and then pull you back up while delivering a punch to the back of your head and repeat.

ROBINSON was the best blueliner i ever saw.did'nt like to fight but was lethal when had to.the only defenceman who could play perfect 2 way hockey and still kick ass when nessesary.never needed any aid when fighing unlike the GREATPRETENDER BOOBY HOR!!!! good luck to T.O. next season! J'ADORE LE TRICOLORE!!!!

One of the few unwritten rules everyone followed in hockey at that time was NEVER MAKE LARRY ROBINSON MAD. Whats even more funny is he was respected as much for being a "policeman" on the ice. He'd be one to go cool his teammates or even opponents before things got out of hand. I'm a proud Leaf fan who can say with pride that I got to see one of the greatest defencemen of alltime.
