Watch how i desperately try to play through the game (Rebel Assault, 1993) with a Saitek Gold joystick in Dosbox.
I swear to fucking god, this game is a nightmare to play with a modern joystick. Laugh at me how it takes me 3 runs before i finally beat the Star Destroyer. I'm totally done, exhausted ... fuck, what you see here are 30 minutes of UNCUT gameplay. I just reinstalled the game after a loooooooong time and made a few tries until the A-Wing training course on the planet. I should have used the mouse after the training courses ... ARRRGhhh.

OMG this brings back memories, me and my dad played this when we first got a computer, looked good back then but now... damn it was hard! That Kolador stage was a pain in the ass.

@adamcoe Damn, same thing with me, my dad spent 400 dollars to buy creative sound blaster 16 bit in our 386 system and increase the RAM to 8mb and we also used memmaker in the dos. And it was 1993

I remember playing this as a kid. The sheer frustration! Definitely not the best game for a 5 year old because my god it was hard .: D

why in the cut scenes for the a-wing did they show rookie 1 in an x-wing cockpit? maybe a mistake? look at 5:35

I remember my dad spending like 400 bucks to get a sound blaster 16 and a CD-ROM installed in our 486 and doubling the RAM to a scorching 8 MB, then buying this game...I thought it was the greatest thing I had ever witnessed...i mean, full screen video in 1993? call the cops!

my friend had this game on his pc and always wanted to play that (and mario when he didn't pause it causing me (usually luigi) to fall down a hole) but it was HARD! This was high difficulty game. moderately fun. good memories though.
