@ericjunas William Sisters were number one in singles and also in doubles. Jana Novatna made #2 in singles and #1 in double, she won 24 single titles, she also won 76 double titles. Chris Evert made #1 Single, #13 Doubles. Anne Kournikova made #8 in singles and #1 in Doubles.However during her career she beat in singles Jennifer Capriati, Lindsay Davenport, etc. Maria Sharapova made #1 in singles but only number 41 in doubles. So winning doubles is hard even for #1 players.
