New Mexico was bought from Mexico, in 1912. santa fe was SPAIN'S capital in the "new land" mexico was never really in power over new mexico. so it should be called new spain or better yet Nuevo Espania, and i am not the only one who feels this way. Natives come to new mexico for a reason we have the largest Pow wow in the would aska "Gathering of Nations"

YES WE DO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED don't you ever tell someone like me from a state thats been neglected solely because it has "Indians" that we don't know shit. ABQ has 3.. 3!! reservations. isleta pueblo, sandia pueblo, laguna pueblo. yes they might be wealthy now, but for years they have lived in the worst conditions, same for the pueblo of Colorado. because we ALL know what happened and we see them as ppl no as a an asset for tourism (like some states do)
