Michael Roberts, a Steamboat Springs builder (Habitat Design and Construction), outdoor sports adventurer and family man, celebrates his 60th birthday at the Art Depot. He asked people not to bring presents to preserve his green values on his auspicious day, but to come dressed as their favorite memory of him. I'm not sure how many broken bones and orthopedic surgeries he has undergone, but it was a definite running theme at the party. There were also some broken winged butterflies flitting about the party. Supposedly his try at raising them had some tragic results. Every one seemed to enjoy the evening, and this photographer had to leave just as the party started hitting its stride at 11 PM. I am estimating how many friends I need to make per year, and when I need to schedule my knee replacement in order to dance on the tables and throw such an event in eighteen years. www.MicalHutsonPhotography.com mical.hut@comcast.net
