You complete idiots that think this is a racist song. He is singing about annoying bugs that bite. Seasick steve is NOT a racist. He grew up in clarksdale right next to the cotton fields and was amongst other ethnic origined people since birth and loved them all dearly.

I had never heard of Seasick Steve until my mom and I got chiggers from peeing in the woods in the hills of West Virginia. So I thought Hey eveything is on You Tube so I will look up some good home remedies to fix us up. I typed in Chiggers and up popped Steve. Needless to say we kept scratchin' and diggin' and jammin' with steve !

The video is in here but i say a little bit: "If you ain't got no money to buy food and you ain't got no money to pay you'r houserent: You shure as hell got the Blues" I think it's all the same who performs it.
