Actually that scene at 1:00 is in the manga. It's in ch 65, although it's not as distinct as shown in the anime. It's supposed to show Kurono's violent nature is becoming natural to him, so he's becoming more like that kid he and Kato condemned earlier.

@imasillypiggy I'd put Gurren Lagann in the same category as Cowboy Bebop or Genshiken: impossible to improve upon.

That's just speaking for myself, of course. No disrespect to anyone who has actually tried abridging either of those.

In any case, VEAS is likely to be my last abridged series. These things always work better in threes, assuming they even get THAT far before jumping the shark. Four is pushing it.  (-:

Sigh. Great, the one guy who can actually complete a funny Abridged Series is quitting the genre. At this rate I'm going to have to go back to what I used to do: Watch the actual anime and have sock puppets make sarcastic commentary.

I hate how they start animes before the mangas are finished cause then they cancel the show and uh ah boosh happens and I usually like the manga better anyway Gantz included. By the way I love your abridged series your vids make me laugh till my ribs hurt same with littlekuriboh I know that account was aowiefoiai but he is still littlekuriboh to me.

Sniper guy confused me. Since in volume 7, he survived and in volume 8, he had his shirt off and sneaks up on the alien and fails. While in the anime, he gets a one hit kill.

All in all, I thought this was one of your better episodes of Gantz. I was watching each Gantz: Abridged episode right after its corresponding Gantz episode, so I totally got spoilered for Sakuraoka's death. It's cool, though; finding out here actually made it easier to bear when I saw it in the anime.

Or see a show that desperately begs to be lampooned. Just like MMO's, burn out is bound to happen eventually. Actually quitting, though, is so damn hard to do...
