It could be a franchise store. They can do whatever they want at franchise stores.

in the begining a select few blockbuster rented both hd and bluray, they said the stores that had the hd format will remain for a certain time, however all the other stores that didnt rent bluray or hd, will now ONLY RENT BLURAY

they were supporting blu-ray and hddvd at the beggining but now they moved completly to bluy ray it will take 2-3 months for the change to be made completly

Where?? i live in the UK and blockbusters our here are only supporting the Blu-ray format, which is a little silly considering they supported sony's UMD format for PSP, which failed miserably!
