  • Good video, but please back off of the microphone or at least drink a glass of water, the constant smacking noise distracts from the quality of the video.

  • ahh sorry mate, was gagging for a sip of me cider, after all the scratchings.lol

  • how pig god do you speak, piggod!

  • On Puppy Linux and it's flavors, I always had the problem of "running out of RAM". I think, it is because it works in RAM.

    One workaround is "swap".

  • That looks fantastic, I think my Asus Eee 8g just found a new OS, thanks for the youtube review.

    Cheers.

  • I have to admit I have, perhaps wrongly, avoided downloading any puplets containing Opera.

Reason is not long ago I had installed Opera (cant remember which ver.) on the standard latest Puppy Linux, and whilst the browser was fine for the first 10 or 15 minutes, after that I think Opera was memory leaking badly... I checked multiple times while browsing, and my mem usage was over 220...out of a possible 256. Shut it down, mem went normal.

Maybe I just had a dodgy install I'm not sure.

  • Another sneaky gem.

  • nice that you showed meebo, was not aware that it existed... could come in quite handy (stupid icq2go annoys me)

i like how you presented abiword this time and i understand that its important to know if basic word processing and that stuff works.

it would be nice if you would tell us more about the available packages (how current they are, how many actually are in the repositorys e.g. if its not too much effort) and the repository speed in general.

    (i think i fucked up this if-sentence ^^)
