Gilbert has evolved into one of the greatest guitarists to ever live. If Bellas didn't have that tone then he would hardly have an identity of his own. Paul Gilbert is instantly recognizable no matter what tone he uses. He is far more more technically and musically advanced and the general guitar playing population would easily agree that he makes more memorable tunes than Bellas. He's also pretty damn sterile. Not much versatility with Bellas.

as much as i like bellas i must admit Paul's tunes are more memorable...bellas is a mediocre composer and improviser...Gustav Mahler, now HE'S a musician...Amy Beach, SHE'S a musician...

Its the composing that makes Bellas best...im sure Paul Gilbert can play as fast but his tunes aent as challenging or memorable
