The CBC is subsidized by the Canadian taxpayer by over $1 billion per year. This causes it to reflect the opinion of its political masters, the Liberal Party, who continue its subsidy in return for favourable reportage. Now that the Conservatives have a majority, the CBC is in real danger of losing its subsidy and would have to become a viable commercial enterprise. Americans should know this whenever they see liberal propaganda spewing out of the mouth of Peter Mansbridge.
