The sea squirt is one of the most unusual creatures I ever kept.
Sea squirts are suspension feeders. They have two openings in their body cavity: an incurrent and an excurrent siphon. The incurrent siphon is used to intake food and water and the excurrent siphon expels waste and water. The tunicate's primary food source is plankton.

  • incurrent...it looks really anal

  • Sea apple aren't tunicates, but Sea Pineapple are. If you don't know what sea pinapples are go tp wikipedia and type Sea Pineapples.

  • ok thanks for the tip

  • Have you ever heard of a tunicate called the sea pineapple? I wonder if Sea pineapple can be kept in tanks like these.

  • actually I learnt the hard way, Sea Squirts a very complex filter feeders, they slowly deteriate. I havent heard of sea pineaple but ive heard of sea apples, i strongly recommenced not keeping sea apples the are very toxic when they die...bacially they can kill your entire tank. all the best mate.
