Dogs are not tame wolves. The domestic dog evolved from primitive wolves approximately 14,000 years ago. Dogs exhibit behaviors that wolves do not, and do not display all the same behaviors that wolves do. Vying for dominance in the pack hierarchy is not a priority. Care-taking and teaching of younger pack members by adults is. These training techniques only work because dogs take abuse - wolves and bears need clickers! Bottom line - if we can teach without force, shouldn't we?

Just because I don't post dog training videos doesn't mean what I say isn't true. Stop treating dogs like wolves. Stop treating them like humans - don't expect them to know right from wrong. Teach! NO dog needs a prong collar. What an idiot. That whole dominance, pack theory, alpha dog, leash correction nonsense is for cowards and bullies and the uneducated. Everyone - do your own research, not on YouTube. @Lucy360twist Its not about doing anything wrong,he just wants the dog to know its role while on the leash...which is following not leading.You have to be pack leader of your animals or they will not respect you and thats how u end up paying guys like this all your money to train your pet because u have no control and try to treat your dog like kids..THATS WHAT THEY DONT UNDERSTAND! by simulated alpha role,u have no worries,your dog will stay calm n submissive,and you will have a pet u can enjoy

This guy is correct. If you're going to act offended by how this guy is training the dog the post your own dog training videos. Otherwise stop acting like he's incorrect for having the dog walk behind him.
