Pinhole Super-8 test

Very short test footage, then scan of the filmstrip. Was shot by simply fixing pinhole over the opening in a K40 (RIP ;_;) cartridge and advancing the film manually.

I'm planning to do something like that, i have a "Brownie" old camera.,... Did you just cut a 35mm roll at half? I'm curious (:

This is done with Super 8 film cartridge, as explained in description above. If you have an old camera you could no doubt do some good stuff but you'd need to get rid of the lens to do pinhole photography. better to build a rudimentary camera from cardboard or something. :)

Hey, interesting-I knew a guy who adapted a Kodak super8 film winder which clamps over the front of the cartridge. He put a tiny lens on it and hand cranked it. It looked really good like a fish eye lens, very pure image-Keep experimenting your in the minority!

Thanks! Wow that sounds like a cool approach, somewhat more high-tech than my attempt! I have some 16mm pinhole camera experiments being processed, will no doubt put some up here on youtube some time if it comes out OK.

mmm, interesting. i'd like to try something like this on super 8. maybe using something with a shutter so it plays more like a conventional movie. i've got some nice still results using an slr with a hole drilled in a body cap before and am wondering if i could replicate the effect with a leicina- taking time-lapse long exposures. i don't have a leicina but might have a go with a nizo which isn't running properly!
