  • Hi lizardking nice upload. Did you edit this video with the martin luther freedom speech? i was wonderin if you could post up the full videos for alabama blues and the whale song...

  • Hi! No i didn't... Martin Scorsese produced a Blues Documentary in 7 DVDs, from 7 various directors including himself. And this is from Vim Wenders - The Soul Of A Man DVD.

  • ONE THING I DON'T, REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND IS WHY WHEN IT COMES TO BLUES ARTISTS IT SUDDENLY MATTERS WHOM THEY INFLUENCED AS IF THAT GIVES THEIR WORK SOME KIND Of LEGITIMACY. FUCK THAT! J. B. LENOIR IS GREAT BECAUSE HE IS J.B. LENOIR, ERIC CLAPTON AND JOHN MAYALL CAN KISS HIS SHOES THEY ARE NOWHERE NEAR HIS WORK.

  • beautiful meaningfull amazing beautiful song much respect man peace out

  • great song, great man, great documentary!

  • Along with most of the suggestions you see on the right hand side of your screenhis great clip is taken from the Wim Wenders doco/dramatization "The Soul of a Man".

Such a fantastic way to learn about the true history of some of the most influential musicians of the last century...

  • bad overlaying, Scorsese (, whitey). The tune speaks for itself.

  • someone has reported thiw video as "unwanted", or "spam", i'm trying to post it on my fb page, and it said that it is impossible! some racist dichead from Alabama perhaps?

a great video, a real blues master! blues power! greetings from Creta, Greece

  • @metyuewb AMEN! I've been saying this forever. The Blues is an art in and of itself, and these Bluesmen were great artist in their own right. Of course they influenced people later down the road, but their music stands on its own.

  • GOD HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD J B LENOIR THIS FUCKING GUY RULES. I wish there was just a straight version of the whale song can someone upload a straight up version of the whale song??

  • @maximol2923 : Several decades before the Scorsese film, on one of John Mayall's 1st albums, he had a song called "I'm Gonna Fight For You, J.B.", and then another song "The Death of J.B. Lenoir". I guess I am older than you because that's the first I heard of him.
