@Skydiver767 Amen!

Sleeko, why don't you just worry about keeping your seat belt fastened and tray table stowed old man, and let the pilot worry about getting you to your destination. Your on this plane for 3 hours, they may be on it for up to 16 per the current regulations, not including the pre/post flight B.S. Sometimes, we need to stand and stretch. Got a problem with that? Walk, drive, or fly yourself next time. Over and out.

this is video is retarded

Relax people, don't make a big buzz about this, remember there a two pilots in cockpit, Cptn and F/o, and two flight guidence systems (autopilot). Pilots in cruising altitude are just there to handle comms and make sure every system works fine. I know, I'm aircraft tech.

(Shouldn't all crew members obey FAA regulations?)...and i bet you're kind of guy that goes 45 mph in a 45mph zone? 2:58 flight i guarantee i'll be in the john at least 3 times for that long of a flight...you obviously havent a clue of what its like to fly planes for a living. By the way, holding your pee is not healthy, d-bag.

adding to what bgamelson said, the Airbus A320 is one of the most technologically advanced aircraft out there, the pilot actually flies the plane for about 1/8th of the flight (unless something goes wrong god forbid) and the rest is done by computer....and like bgamelson said, the co pilot is monitoring everything in the cockpit.....and the doors are closed

The plane is on autopilot and the First Officer is fully capable of flying the plane all by himself. There are no rules stating the pilot, or co-pilot or navigator can't get up and stretch as long as there is a capable person at the controls.

Give 'em a break. They only fly the aircraft on takeoffs and some landings!! Besides that, the first officer is having a blast up there! That's why there are two pilots!
That's fine. As I said if you think this old man should "just worry about keeping (my) seat belt fastened and table stowed" why shouldn't this old man who is paying for the ride expect the pilot, who is getting paid for the ride, to keep his seat belt fastened and fly the plane? By the way, in the military, at least when this old man was in, they do not say "over and out" they say "out".

You are wrong. The FAA rule states crew member ""can leave his or her assigned duty station if the crew member's absence is necessary for the performance of duties in connection with the operation of the aircraft or in connection with physiological needs." I am 72 years old and was able to sit down for the 2 hours and 58 minutes from gate to gate. The pilot is getting paid to fly the plane. He is younger then me and should be able to sit for 2 hours and 58 minutes.

Flight time gate to gate for this flight was only 2hours 58 minutes. Not very long. It seems to me we are forgetting what happen on 9-11-2001. Why do we have the doors to the cockpit re done to stop unauthorized entry? The crews place is in the cockpit. I don't understand why everyone makes excuses. The passengers do their part by going through security. The crew should do their part and stay in the cockpit!

Jesuslovingfreak, Well it's finally nice to get a comment written without hostility.
Sure the Captain could have been briefing the flight attendent. My question to you. Couldn't he have done it by using the phone they have between the cabin and cockpit? What about the passengers and their comfort. Taking out one third of the toilets does make the passengers wait longer in line at the back of the plane. From the comments I get from air line employees,it sounds like the passengers don't count.

I am not telling them how to do their job. I just think, like the rest of us, they should obey the rules.

madjmme. They can talk to each other, with out leaving their "assigned duty station" by phone. That is more secure and private then talking in person. For what reason would they have to talk in person? Why shouldn't the crew obey the FAA regulations? You are making excuses. This is an issue of security of the plane and passengers.
