Laparoscopy for small bowel obstruction

This video presents laparoscopic exploration in a female patient with small bowel obstruction. She had gynecological operation with Pfannenstiel incision in the past. During the revision an adhesion band was found as reason for the obstruction - it was cut. Resection of necrotic bowel with primary end to end anastomosis was performed through a small infraumbilical incision (5 cm). Laparoscopy was performed again, the abdomen was rinced and a drain was placed.
