Crossbow Practice

Here is my new Crossbow. It is a Company that PSE bought out. The Name of my bow is a Viper "Rattler" and it is camo with compound pulleys. I can shoot it 40 yards with a 5 1/2 inch grouping. On this day I hadn't shot for a bit, so I started out at 20 yrds and then shot from thirty yards for 3 sets of 2 shots. The shots in the clip are from 30 yards. I saw this ferral cat lookin for rabbits or mice watchin me shoot my bow. And went over the hill and saw 2 deer, a spike buck and a doe, not to mention a dozen rabbits and a million geeters (mosquito) black flies and no see'ems (can to see em). Good times..right..I think so!

Why are you practicing with broad-heads?

I like to practice with the actual arrow or bolt that I will use to harvest Big Game.

I actually place each arrow in my quiver according to how well it flies.

They all tend to consistantly fly with slight differences. I figure every little edge I can get using a Bow is worth the effort.

Even the slight difference between field points and broadheads.

I also practice, in tall grass, uphill, downhill, diagnol and in different wind speeds in various directions.

Practice is good :D

nice vid, I prefer my compund bow but hey it's just personal prefrence.

Hey, your way is even more challanging and closer to traditional hunting.

I prefer vertical over horizontal, but I use my crossbow because of the ability to be already loaded so I don't have to move and spook the game. I hunt on the ground without blinds or stands mostly, and I find that drawing the bow is very difficult. And when you travel and have limited hunting time, I can't afford to take the chance of coming home with nothing all the time.

I'm getting one of these! Everyone needs to get one just in case the government tries to take away our guns or limit our ammo supplies. In most states, you can get crossbows without registering them. What the government does not know you have, they cannot take away from you!  IMPEACH OBAMA AND ALL OTHER GUN GRABBERS NOW!

i shoot 60 yards and better grouping with my compound than you did with your cross bow i mean if you shoot good and kill a deer thats all that counts but make sure you have a lot of pounds on it
