An Akha village close to Mae Chan still doesn't have enough water, typical of the neglect these villages face on part of the Thai government, who is none the less willing to exploit them for tourism.

I am apalled at the way the Thai authorities treat the Akha people. The Thai people are very keen to promote tourist visits to the Hill tribe people, but simply exploit these poor people whilst stealing their land and abusing their basic human rights.
Credit to the people from overseas who work in difficult conditions in Thailand trying to draw attention to the injustice being meeted out to this peaceful minority.
