This is just about priceless. If this is indeed Al Lewis, it is a revelation of his otherwise hidden musical talent. It is also noteworthy that Fred Gwynne was a Broadway performer whose vocal talent was all but ignored.

@Novak67766 You are correct....It lasted only TWO seasons. When I heard the series lasted thru 60 episodes, I assumed they were spread over 3 seasons. They taped 30 episodes per season which is pretty amazing.

I just saw this last night on MeTV. I just HAD to find it and hear it again. What talent!

We who are getting old can at least be happy that we grew up in an era that will never be had again..

This is great.. I remember seeing this 50 years ago and it pops into my head from time to time ever since, it was so well done. What a treat to see the troupe perform this again.

@3ringsAIKMAN I believe it was on Sunday Nights on ABC, and CBS ruled with Mr. Ed, Dennis, the Menace and the other Ed, Ed Sullivan. I thought it lasted only two years.

Paul Reed had Broadway written all over him. What a cast of actors, who were really funny.

At 4;11, "Give a cheer and not the bird to the mighty captain of the 53rd!"
Who caught that in the 60s?
Wonderful! I saw this when it was broadcast in December of '61 and never expected to see it again. It's an excellent parody of Gilbert and Sullivan. Many thanks for posting it!!!
