When they write the rules they could have chosen to eliminate the "silent filibuster" where a senator just says "I filibuster".

Eliminating the silent filibuster would have forced them to actually filibuster for hours on end eventually they'd have to stop and let a vote happen.

@deskset24 e.g. when you say "Peta is on the take, too". You mean, because they receive donations? Yeah, so what? Big surprise. One Peta donor could be a Republican. Another could be a Democrat. Another could be a Nazi. Another a Communist. Another one could work for the CIA, while another is an anti-CIA activist. But, all them agree to some degree on some or all of the causes for which Peta fights.

Now, replace Peta with ANY other organization on earth.

And, I refuse to go along with political correctness and automatically rule them about because it's not PC to suggest "violence" (yet hypocritically punishing people isn't). Anyway, your overall political theme is unfalsifiable. It's a tautology: "everyone's on the take". That's just another way of saying we're all interconnected and interdependent to varying degrees.

I'm saying that nothing is ever going to change because our government is corrupt and america has become so capitalistic that even groups like peta are on the take, they all have a personal agenda. @jay2thaudy That is a gross generalization. Many people and groups, such as Peta and Zero Population Growth and NARAL and NORML, fight for just causes and do not get murdered. You're just picking out the singular events that get reported by mainstream media and get into the history books. Fewer of us on the good side would get murdered if we support killing the opposing side and stopped with this impractical bullshit that that somehow "lowers" us to the other side.
