Trabant 601 RS Historic Rallye Team Mike Golle

Team special dedicated to a friend of me, Mike Golle. He built, owns and drives a exact Replica of a works Rallye Trabant of Gr.2 in 1980, like it was running at Acropolis Rally in Greece. None of the original 601RS still exists, also the Trabant Car Museum in Zwickau just owns a later 800RS. For sure, most of the still active Rallye Trabants are "much better prepared", with more horsepower or discbrakes. But this one shows the exact technology like it was used in the works car in 1980.

I don't think that everything in the GDR was good. Think for the total control of the state about everyone lived there. Or the forbidden travelling to other than socialistic states. Problems with delivering of simple things you need every day. And many more.

That here was just a small view about one car. And a car doesn't make a state great. However, I have no need for a political discussion at the moment.

..immer lese ich trabant RS...kann mir mal jemand das "RS" erklären???....Rennsport oder Rallysport kann es ja nicht heissen, weil ,was ist an nem Trabbi sportlich???...vielleicht noch ne versteckte Nachricht von euerm Honni??

lol 26 hp my vespa has 13hp hahaha and weighs 120kg. what was the top speed on it? about 50-60mph? my vespa does 65-70mph depending on the wind. i still want a trabant tho :D it sounds awesome
