On May 15, the California Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples have the right to marry. I followed the celebrations around San Francisco all day and talked to people about what this means to their lives.

  • I am a water-head and cried at my own wedding on 20 June 2008. This video is filled with so much rejoicing, love and support, it made me cry too. I am amazed at the support of the straight community. Two woman that have never voted are registering to vote in November because they love me and want to support my marriage rights by voting against a constitutional amendment that would exclude same-sex marriage.

  • Congratulations on your wedding! Yeah, it's great to see all of our straight allies coming to support us. Let's work to stop the marriage ban this November to protect your marriage!

  • You love Tarah and she loves you, you both are just people with feelings. You do deserve to get married, i hope for the both of you; it will be legal everywhere soon. :)

  • While watching this video I shed complicated tears. I congratulate all those fortunate Californians who no longer have second class status. I am a 20 something who lives in Michigan. I have been happily committed to the Love of my life for almost 7 years. She is my rock, my center, my home, my shelter from life's storms. I hope that one day, with in my lifetime, I will be able to say legally, socially and lovingly "Hello, my name is Rebecca, this is my Wife Tarah, it is very nice to meet you."

  • great video
