Because the veto winner(Memphis) is automatically safe as well as the person he/she chooses to use the veto on(Dan).

So glad someone else sees it. Renny needed to win to stay. Fair game for everybody, probably a little more difficult for drunk folks, K & R ...? Save your own game. Don't put the blame on anyone else imo. Too late in the game to lay low, go big or go home.
