  • one of his best....I've heard that the Buzzcocks got inspirated from the Sex Pistols but their music have nothing to do with the sound of the Pistols actually...

    It was Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto who got the Sex Pistols up to Manchester to play there in late 1976. That's one main reason punk wasn't confined to London, and Shelley and Devoto formed the Buzzcocks very soon after: "BOREDOM" ! So you're right, the Buzzcocks were inspired by the Sex Pistols, but their music was different. Other inspirations were around, especially the Ramones who started it all. Then there was the immaculate conception of THE DAMNED...
