@neonjunglejumper yes but the problem with andy and warren is that they wanted duran duran to sound like AC/DC, so it was better to hire a low profile guitarist that just play and keep the damn mouth closed.

@bentandgyan You are right. We all have our opinions and thats cool. The one commom thing is that we are all Duran Durans Fans. They are a classic band and they have stood the test of time. They get slagged off a lot by ignorant people who dont understand eighties music but they are still playing more than thirty years after formimg so thats my argument to anyone who disrepects them.

@Stevethesearcher Just want to add that my favourite Duran Duran album is "Big Thing" There are some great songs on that album. Big Thing, All she wants, I dont want your love, Do you believe in Shame, The whole of side two was great. For me that was Duran Duran at their best. I think Notorious is very good as well. Most critics think Notorious is their best album. Personally I think Duran Duran 86 - 88 was their best period not their heady days of 1984

@bentandgyan Maybe I have been a bit negative. The new album is mediocre but there are good songs in there. Meditteranea, Before the Rain, Leave a Light on, The man who stole a Leopard and All you need is now. They are the good songs on the album. However there are a lot of songs which sound like Rio out takes.

I blame Mark Ronson for this. I think he was the wrong choice of producer for the album. I am all for Duran Duran making an eighties sounding album but the new album was taking the piss
