Bret Baier asked Newt Gingrich what makes you most qualified to create jobs and grow the economy.
Gingrich referred to talk about divided government, saying that this Saturday marks the 30th anniversary of Reagan's signing the Kemp-Roth tax cut, which got through a divided government. Gingrich was part of that effort in the House. He said the cut led to seven years of growth, and unemployment dropped to 4.2 percent.
He went onto say the idea that 523 congressman and senators are going to sit around for four months, while 12 people are going to sit in a room and brilliantly come up with a trillion dollars is irrational. He said, "They're going to walk in just before Thanksgiving and say 'Ok, we can shoot you in the head or cut off your right leg, which do you prefer.'"
Gingrich responded, saying, "I took seriously Bret's injunction to put aside the talking points, and I wish you would put aside the "gotcha" questions."

America is not the same country as it was yet Gingrich, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc. would have you believe if all we did was go back to the late 80s and early 90s then it will all be ok. Liars! There is a war going on and the Leftists and big Government lovers in general are winning. These guys won't prevent it or fight the war and they won't be steam-rolled by it in their lifetimes either while their supporters will. Why do people listen to them? They are using you.
