@11plays22 I know for sure that DP1 works the other posibility is DP2, but I'm not 100% sure sorry :(

okay how does this sound. im taking the backup from my friends macbook but he has a lot of stuff on it and when i tried the first time it wouldnt let me exclude the mac hd, could i just install mac to my external hard drive and run that, delete the plist file and take the backup from that?

@11plays22 Yes that would most likely work, but you wouldn't be talking a backup of the HD, you'd me moving the image from one mac to another. Will post video on this soon!
