So when Evil Dead 4 comes out, it will technically be Evil Dead 3 with the assumption they will continue the story from when Ash came from the past back to S-MART. Figure a story with demons that came back with him.

Evil Dead 2 is actually a remake of Evil Dead folks. Army of Darkness is the real Evil Dead 2. The very first Evil Dead was ok, but they got a better budget after and made a "better" first. ED2 became the "replacement" for the original and Army of Darkness is the continuation.

@redoutband actually, that short film was called within the woods. The movie cabin in the woods is basically and homage film to movies like evil dead, ones with plots based around... cabins in the woods.
